Our History

The Aylesbury Estate story is steeped in history, named after the town from which the Gibbs family hailed. James Dagley Gibbs originated from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England and migrated to the Australind colony, Western Australia in 1844.
James’ son Samuel was a pioneer in the Ferguson Valley – part of what is now the Geographe Wine Region. This farm has been worked and passed down an unbroken chain of succession through 5 generations producing citrus, stone-fruit, potatoes, dairy, and currently beef and wine-grapes.
The same land Samuel took-up in 1883 is now Aylesbury Estate being carried on by fifth generation son Ryan Gibbs, wife Narelle and their family.
